Requirements:

  • Must have 2-5+ years previous experience in an accounting office

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred or combination of education plus experience

  • Must have advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Word

  • Experience typing various correspondence letters is a must

Responsibilities:

Administrative Excel Specialist 

A company in DeSoto County has an immediate temporary opening for an experienced Administrative Excel Specialist. 

Requirements: 

  • Must have advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Accounting background is a plus.
  • Must enjoy working in front of the computer as this job requires 6+ hours per day.

Responsibilities: 

  • Must also be internet savvy and have the ability to upload and download large files from the internet into various applications.
  • Must analyze information from different databases to resolve exceptions, create general ledger entries, and post solutions to financial database for company.
  • Use of Excel much include knowing how to sort thousands of transactions, use of subtotals, enabling/disabling macros, creating macros, using all “functions,” and creating complex formulas.
  • Must be able to meet deadlines as required by management.

Electrical Engineer

A large utility company in North Mississippi has an immediate opening for an direct hire Electrical Engineer.

Requirements: 

  • Must be a motivated, self-starter, capable of planning, designing and preparing specifications to meet the cooperative's needs. 
  • Must have a good understanding of automated technologies, excellent computer and software skills, and know how to apply them daily. 
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in an electric utility or consulting firm performing related engineering work.
  • Must have a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Power Option Preferred) and must be a Registered Professional Engineer.

Responsibilities:

  • Position will review information from monthly substation readings, SCADA system and AMR system to make reliability recommendations to management. 
  • Will assist in companies long-range plan, construction work plan and geographical information system by working closely with employees and consulting engineers. 
  • Will monitor the performance of the distribution system and make recommendations for system improvements.
  • Will also be responsible for plans and studies related to sectionalizing over current protection, device coordination, over voltage protection, voltage improvement, power factor correction, load balancing, and overall system reliability.

 

**Company provides medical and dental insurance, pension, 401K plan, life insurance, long-term disability, tuition reimbursement, etc.

 

Salary: $80K - $100K

A company in DeSoto County has an immediate opening for an HR Generalist/Payroll Processor.  

Requirements:

  • Previous Human Resource experience is required.
  • Must have excellent skills using ADP payrolling system and will be processing 6 payrolls
  • Must be extremely organized, flexible, and production oriented.
  • Must also have a very high level of computer/internet proficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Must prepare weekly management reports of production time and overtime, process daily A/R collections, calculate monthly commission payroll, and process employee purchases. 
  • Will also publish a daily employee ranking report, maintain lease files and keep updated lease renewal notification information
